A FRC Team Advisor will:

• Enforce and monitor safety during all FRC events
• Supervise students using equipment and machinery
• Work with and recruit volunteers to help coach the team during build season
• Inspire, motivate, and engage students in science and technology
• Create open communication within the team
• Maintain process focus
• Allow students to do as much work as possible
• Show trust in, and respect for, every team member and his/her ideas
• Encourage students to take risks and invent
• Encourage accountability
• Work with the First Washington office to manage deadlines and requirements for competition eligibility
• Manage team accounts, budget, and fundraise for events
• Work with the CTE office to complete and submit required paperwork (field trip, excursion, building use, etc.)

Time commitment: Meet with the team several times per week (including some weekends and evenings) during the build and competition season (January – April).
